I am the music specialist at Balmoral School. My past music experience has been as a guitar player in various rock bands. I play a variety of styles from rock and jazz to classical. I also play the saxophone and piano to a lesser degree. I have been teaching in classrooms for the past 5 years after changing career from being a cabinet maker in 1999. I studied teaching music and general education at Auckland College of Education for 4 years prior to starting to teach in the classroom. My passion is to inspire children to take up music as a serious and rewarding study and one that can be enjoyed for a lifetime.
